Two Washington County men sentenced in gambling operation

8/7/2008 (Pittsburgh Tribune Review) Two men were sentenced Wednesday in federal court for their roles in a Washington County gambling operation.

U.S. District Judge David S. Cercone sentenced Paul W. Harrington Jr., 54, of McDonald to three years' probation, including seven months of home detention, and a $1,000 fine. Terry L. Wise, 55, of Amwell was sentenced to three years' probation, six months of home detention and fined $500.

Prosecutors said the gambling -- including sports and numbers betting, and an illegal ticket drawing game -- occurred from 2002 to July 1, 2006.  Full Story
